Last updated November 2026. Many of our users are under 18, so we collect as little as we can.

What we collect

No accounts. If you buy, Stripe collects your name, email and payment details; we see your email and payment status. To stop abuse of the free taster we keep daily usage counters keyed to a scrambled version of your IP address.

Your interviews

Speech is turned into text by your browser. In Chrome this uses Google's speech service. The text is sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to produce the tutor's replies and your feedback. The tutor's replies (not your answers) are turned into speech by ElevenLabs. We don't store transcripts on our servers, and your answers aren't used to train AI models. Your transcript stays in your browser until you close the page.

On your device

We store your access link and which problems you've seen in your browser's local storage. No advertising or tracking cookies are set inside Viva Room.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold, correct it or delete it by emailing hello@vivaroom.co.uk. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
